          | Congratulations to the complete development- and support-team!
 My transition from sidux to aptosid went smoothly on two computers.
 Good luck for the future and much pleasure for all of us!

 ... nice suprise: all posts of the users starting with zero.

   It's great idea to keep the old forum still available as archive.
 cheers.

@otto: We should do the same with the brazilian forum.
Greetings,

   @Chris
 That's also the great idea! I have already kept the first one as archive for the sidux Brazil at the forumeiros at http://sidux.forumeiros.com/forum.htm
 cheers.

          | I am not very active on this forum or the previous sidux forum because I have no need to be. My installation of the original sidux went easily, all the hardware recognised sufficient to my needs.
 The switch over to aptosid went well with no problems and so far all dist-upgrades have gone well.

 I was concerned during period it was announced that sidux could not continue and I took the precaution of looking at some others. All I can say is thank goodness aptosid arrived, it would have been a step back to change to something else.

 regards

          | I even sent an email to osdisc.com (a vendor that sells cds/dvds of major distributions) to let them know of this change and I got a reply back stating they made the change and now they also have the latest ISO to sell for those who cannot download the official iso |
