Hello,
perhaps you can help me.
I'm not user of Aptosid
I'm using LMDE-64 (Linuxmint Debian 64 bit).
About 6 month ago I activated Debians "unstable".
I got Gnome3 and others and it worked absolutly
fast and stable.
Every week I make
"sudo apt-get update"
"sudo apt-get dist-upgrade"
Last Monday I did it again, again without any errors.
But after reboot my system only runs to the consol login.
No graphical login, no Gnome3 with all my applications.
I can login on console level without problems,
but thats not what I had.
Perhaps any ideas how I can come back to my normal login?
Bests

Easy. Install aptosid
Seriously though, upgrading from LMDE (Debian Testing) to Unstable is unsupported by either the Mint project or us. GNOME is unsupported by us. There's any number of things that could have gone wrong in either step or one of the upgrades. If you want to run unstable, a clean install of aptosid really is your best bet. If you're that interested in running GNOME on top of unstable, I'd recommend joining the aptsid GNOME team and help get it packaged for an official ISO. |
