          | I think that phpbb is better. It has feature "view your posts", which is very valuable to me, since I can see answers that I need quickly.
phpbb has tons of modules, themes, etc.
Also, forum needs better categorization, "software" for example, is too broad a category.
Methinks it could be a header, then other subcats after it.
I know you guys are busy, just a suggestion.

          | I never felt the necessity, perhaps because there are not many posts.

Forum index, top-right: View your posts

JFTR: This forum is in fact a phpBB2 instance…

What subforums for 'software' would you suggest? Creating too many forums usually tend to fragmentate the discussion too much and a thread starter is usually overhelmed by the choice, so if we would change something it should be for a good reason.

          | This very forum actually is a phpBB2 based module for the Zikula framework (the CMS system we use). It saved our ass for many years compared to phpBB standalone, as Zikula adds a lot of security, performance, flexibility and features. We will update to Zafenio (the phpBB3 based forum module), soon. Feature requests and bug reports are always very welcome, but please post them upstream at http://zafenio.com - and not here. Beeing core developer and maintainer of the upstream project I promise to take care for every bug report coming from Aptosid personally. Greetings,
 Chris

          | I personally love the look of this forum. It's the most clearly arranged forum I've ever seen. I'm looking forward to Zafenio too. It looks great as well. |

          | I see now the "view your posts" feature, it is usually where I go first. It wasn't where I expected it.
I don't have a suggestion for software subcats, I leave that up to you.
 I created this forum http://forum.zenmagick.org/
I have been away from it for months now, for personal reasons, nothing to do with the developer, whom I greatly appreciate.
I haven't developed much themes, or other modules, it is an example of subcats.
Check that forum for subcat suggestions, and feel free to take what you think is useful.
