I have configured the new aptosid theme and I just would like to tell you my opinion about it:
KDM-Theme: very dark. IMHO it looks a little bit to pessimistic. I hope my children will not panic. But ok, I think I will keep it.
Login-Splash-Theme: I like it. It does look really nice.
Desktop-Background: For me it is unusable. I do not like the comic style, but this is only my problem. But the comics make a real problem: It is hard to see icons on the desktop with this. I would prefer a more abstract graphic.
Greetings,

The same for the splash image, please. I'd love it as desktop background. |

I just upgraded to aptosid and also changed to the new theme. First comment from my daughter was: "Its a boys design".

She's so right!
I have to admit I don't understand the third picture of the comic: do all driver oder cars explode?
The whole thing is to grey and dark for my taste. The falling letters of the ksplash are cool, especially the word "sid" in one, but the background is scaring away kids and me too. And the wallpaper looks as grey and depressive as the weather outside besides that it has those blood on it. |

Well, we have had a couple of hard months, and the theme might probably reflect that.
Personally spoken, I love the comic, specially "Susi" in the middle frame. I already made my personal wallpaper from that one. But I understand that this is not everyone's taste. Additionally, I do run a "corporate" (=boring) theme for my clients.
As usual, we will have new themes 4 times a year, so - stay tuned. You can also always use older existing themes, or create your own ones - or even contribute your own new creative stuff to the art team!
Greetings,
Chris |

I was afraid the new theme would include the phoenix devouring fred but I see he was allowed to survive. |

Just a quick one. The cars in the last from are not exploding.
They are police cars chasing her |
