Hi,

When re-installing with the same usernames on a system with two partitions, one for / and the other for /home, I got an error that there was already a directory $username on the target partition for /home. I had to manually run mke2fs to override this from the terminal.

Aptosid looks really good though, I'm glad Sidux survived.

This behaviour is intended, we do not want the installer to wipe vital data. I will move the topic out of bug reports.
Greetings,
Chris

I keep root home and data on a separate partitions. When I do a reinstall I backup home to data then rebuild the root and home partitions, install, then restore the backup to home. Its better to have cli for this... no matter how much I trust a script I want to have fine grain control over such a situation. I've found having the separate data partition very usefull.
