I had found a good friend, then he disappeared!
Investigating, I found it was a case of a domestic dispute. So, I let things be for a while -- until the matter settled down and the lawyers got paid. In a case of reverse-naming, my friend is now calling himself "aptosid."
Whatever.
In any case, I'm glad you're back, friend!

Although we all know that a good brand-name is important as a sales tool, possibly a name that makes sense is even more important when appealing distro names are not available anymore to register or are virgin from registration at the Internet as domain names.
Honestly, I did not like much our current distro name compared to sidux, but now I'm already used to it after just one week of use.
Definitely, the explanation showing the reasoning for the aptosid name shown on the Manual is very clear and definitely good enough to me. |
