I've thought of having an own icon-Theme for aptosid to underscore a new beginning. Maybe I'll get it finished today so I can show it to you. |

Here are the Icons that I've announced before (just a draft).
Maybe they look a bit boring, because of the same colors, but like I said it's just a draft.
Please tell me how you find them. |

i don't know what program you're using to make these, but the circle background and top half highlight have rough edges, ie are not anti-aliased like the image in center of the circle. if you're using inkscape and would like help, either ask here or hop into #aptosid-art and we'll get you going in the right direction.
i like the concept here though, despite the minor execution flaws. i'd suggest giving the colours specifically from our colour palette a try [ http://lab.aptosid.com/art/browser/sidu ... alette.svg ] ... looking forward to seeing further revisions |

sx9 - Very cool mate. I like the simplicity. With a bit of polish these will be great.
Make sure you hang out in #aptosid-art if you feel like contributing more! |

I've recognized it already - that's why I'm still not finished. Well, aptosid keres is out now, so I don't need to hurry anymore .
But I just can't figure out how to create stand-alone objects that are just transparent gradients that have a certain form (like my decoration [created with Paint.NET - a bitmap editor so there are still some rests of the anti-aliasing at the top of the decoration]).
But thanks for all the compliments you've made and thank you that you provide this help.
And thanks for the link to the new color palette!
I've searched for it, but haven't found it. |

Preview of the first re-edition of my icon theme.
Now in SVG!
It's not perfect, but contains the, I hope right, color palette and some more effects. |

did you mean to leave the stripes visible past the bounds of the circle? |

No that's what I've meant with it's still not perfect.
Here is an archive of all images (the svg contains layers that provide all icons) |

fixed it for you. i used clones of the background circle as the clipping path for the stripes and the upper highlight, so if you change the background circle, the clipping paths will automatically update to match. enjoy. |

detaos,
could you please provide some working link(s)?
(Or is it only me? However, sx9's post above does have one). |

@ phen
You have to right-click on the text "aptosid-icons.svg" and then "View Image"

Interesting Idea!
@ detaos
Thanks!
Sounds really great!
But, how have you done this?
I've already tried a path division, but it hasn't worked. |
