Dear all,
My machines are not up to date yet, so I haven't seen this issue, but it seems that new defaults in systemd might change how nohup, screen and tmux work. It seems that now these processes will be killed after you log out, unless you run it with "systemd-run" or change the new defaults.
For those among us who run long computations (or compiling, long processes) in the background, this would really be an unpleasant surprise.
More details, including the work arounds, here: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo ... bug=825394
Best to all,

Thanks, slh. I can't confirm myself, but I will mark as solved. |
