I did not change anything with my system beside some dist-upgrades but since a couple of months Grub does not show me the different kernels that are installed on my system any more. There is only one option selectable called "Debian". My system still boots and it always uses the latest kernel but I have no choice of selecting another one any more.

If I remember well, one of the entries of the menu takes you to a submenu with choice of kernel. (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.)

That exactly right.

The first listed entry is the newest kernel which will be booted by default. The entry below that is an "advanced" menu which you can choose and you are faced with the old menu style of listing each and every available kernel so you can pick one of those.

Thank you!

And sorry, I did not see that the kernel-choice now is in a sub-menu.

No problem, I usually don't pay attention to this step of the boot process, so the first time I saw it I intended to boot into a previous kernel and was all "what the hell, I haven't removed kernels recently!?! Where are all the kernels?!?" Took me longer than I would like you to know … Wink
