When ever I try to start Gparted, I end up with nothing.

If I try using the shortcut in the menu, nothing happens at all. if I use sudo or sux from konsole, it complains about not being able to use the display. gksu and kdesu do not appear to be included (which people with this issue in 11-02 recommended using kdesu to launch Gparted).

Use Alt-F2 and then on the inputbox enter
      Code:

 kdeseu gparted

      Code:
aptosid@aptosid:~$ kdeseu gparted
bash: kdeseu: command not found
aptosid@aptosid:~$

However kdesu gparted works, but will only work from there. If I try to do it through konsole, or something else, I also get command not found.

kdesu is nolonger on normal user path but you can still find it on the filesystem
use "locate"

anyway you had a typo there "kdeseu" is not correct

Not a good start Hellmark! Never correct a "Team" member! There are a number of ways to address your problem. I suggest the easiest and quickest:

apt-get update
apt-get remove gparted
apt-get install partitionmanager

That should take all of a few seconds and you're done forever.
Partitionmanager is the KDE equivalent of gparted.
