In the last week Nepomuk Service Stub started crashing several times per hour on only one of two logins on this computer. Before that, no crashes for many months. Nepomuk is active on both user logins simultaneously. I think all that has changed is maybe one or two desktop effects. I have not yet tested with desktop effects turned off. Below is the backtrace. Any ideas?

No difference with desktop effects disabled. Nepomuk seems to crash every few minutes. Turning it off in the system settings is the only "fix" I've found so far. The KDE crash handler complains about missing debug files, though I have them all and even reinstalled them. Reinstalling libnepomuk4, libnepomukquery4a and libnepomukutils4 had no effect. Next I'll try resetting my user Nepomuk settings.

Resetting user Nepomuk settings had no effect. Downgrading libavformat53 and ffmpeg, based on the backtrace messages, to the versions currently in Sid (4:0.7.2-1+b1 for both) has so far solved this (no crashes in the last hour or two with Nepomuk active versus crashes every few minutes before). I'll have to change my apt pinning.

I'm happy to report this is dragon stuff, due to unsupported Debian packages that I pulled in with a cinelerra-cv install a while back. There is probably a better way to install cinelerra-cv on Sid.
