Hi,
Please take a look into the patches. we well be very glad if they could be included in aptosid . We want to make an aptosid Gnome possible and want to help in that task.
The patch file was done against fullstory from 22 nov 2011.
For gdm3 in xfce it contains gnome-settings-daemon in xfce-desktop-min package list needed for setting up gdm3 background.
