I am new to aptosid. It installed nicely on my Dell d600 laptop. Wireless was easy and works. I added non-free and the fancy wobbly windows works, but composting seems to wreck icedove email program. Menus are ruined, buttons are missing. Disable and they are back. The video is Radeon 9000.
It is not a deal breaker by any means. My touch pad works better than in Ubuntu based, or Mandriva based. It's a keeper!
